The city of East Cleveland,Ohio can be described in many ways such as, Historical (with its large brick homes and long streets),Suburb,Violent,Dangerous, but for 25 years it’s simply been “Home” to Kipp Stone. Kipp’s lyrics tell powerful stories laced with humor and charisma matched with heavy bass lines that appeal to not only the layman’s ear but to true musicians and music lovers. Kipp Stone doesn’t go for a certain sound so much as he does a mood or character of which is portrayed within each song. Kipp's art not only shows his ability to select, sample and produce great music but further showcases his lyrical ability. Currently Kipp is releasing quality music with equally appealing visuals. Kipp has gained co-signs from major blogs and websites such as...2Dopeboyz, Complex, Fader, Fakeshore Drive, Vibe Magazine, Mass Appeal, XXL and more. He was also placed on Complex Music's "Top 10" artist to watch from Cleveland in 2015. At the end of 2015 Kipp partnered with Chicago based indie label powerhouse Closed Sessions. Kipp was a featured artist on several SXSW2k16 showcases in Austin,Texas...finishing out the year with the release of his song "100 Black Panthers" with Marvel comics with whom he teamed up with for their Black Panther "A Nation Under Our Feet" series, which premiered via Billboard. On December 8, 2017, Kipp released his debut LP "Dirty Face Angel". A project that was 2 years in the making "DFA" paints a vivid picture of life in East Cleveland, Ohio and Kipp's perspective of his surroundings.
